Douglas A. Schwartz, D.O. is a Physiatrist [pronounced fizz-ee-at'-trist] and is the Founder/Medical Director of Eastside Medical Group.  He is double board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation [ABPMR], as well as the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation [AOBPMR].  

He received his osteopathic medicine degree [D.O.] from The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Schwartz completed his residency training at New York University-Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.  He is also a New York State Certified Medical Acupuncturist, having received his acupuncture training at U.C.L.A. School of Medicine.  Dr. Schwartz has over 25 years experience diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic and rheumatological conditions as well as sports medicine injuries.
